Janmarie Chatlosh is a media specialist at Lester Elementary School. She has been working in Florence District One for 25 years as a teacher with the autistic program, 2nd grade teacher and for the past nine years as the media specialist. Her husband Jeff teaches physical science at West Florence. Janmarie and Jeff’s sons; Jason and Justin began swimming on the FAST team when they were five. Jason is currently on a swim scholarship at Clemson, beginning is senior year. Justin is freshman at Clemson and is continuing to swim on the Clemson Aquatic Team.
Janmarie began helping with FAST as the team began growing a few years ago and became an assistant coach three years ago. She enjoys working with the young swimmers at the YMCA and Francis Marion. Working with the swimmers and trying to help the program grow from year to year is very rewarding. I have a dream that the program will become so big that the city of Florence will see a need for a 50 meter competition pool.
